Culture and Heritage Literacy (CHL) Program

Culture and Heritage Literacy (CHL) Program

The Culture and Heritage Literacy (CHL) Program is a flagship initiative by Voice of Heritage (VOH) that reconnects communities specially youth, women, and vulnerable groups with Rwanda’s rich cultural identity through hands-on learning and education. This program offers practical training in traditional handcrafting instruments like the Inanga, along with music performance skills rooted in cultural storytelling. CHL also integrates empowerment and awareness projects that promote cultural pride, intergenerational dialogue, and inclusive growth. Through culture-based education, community workshops, and experiential learning, CHL lays the foundation for sustainable cultural preservation and social transformation.

Building the cultural foundation needed for innovation, vocational development, and social transformation.
