The Culture and Heritage for Change (CHC) Program

The Culture and Heritage for Change (CHC) Program

by Voice of Heritage (VOH) empowers cultural innovators and practitioners to transform traditional knowledge into sustainable livelihoods and community-driven solutions. It supports the professional growth of artists and creatives through mentorship, entrepreneurship training, and access to practical tools that help preserve and adapt Rwanda’s cultural heritage. The program also promotes the formation of heritage ambassador groups and associations, which serve as grassroots networks for cultural advocacy, intergenerational learning, and community engagement. To strengthen the economic viability of heritage-based work, CHC integrates financial education for cultural players, equipping them with skills in budgeting, fundraising, and creative enterprise management. Through this holistic approach, the program ensures that culture becomes a powerful driver of inclusion, resilience, and socio-economic transformation.

Building the cultural foundation needed for innovation, vocational development, and social transformation.
